Major Boost for COSCO’s Orderbook

COSCO Shipyard Group Ltd has secured a number of contracts totaling in USD 366 million and options as follows:

COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Co. Ltd. secured contracts from a Netherlands based company to build two platform supply vessels (PSVs). The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of 2015. Under the contracts, the buyer has options for construction of two additional PSVs.

In addition, the shipyard won contracts from a Singapore based company to build two PSVs, which are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2015. The buyer has also secured options for six (6) additional PSVs.

COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co. Ltd has been awarded contracts from a PRC based agency to build two salvage lifting vessels, slated for delivery in the first half of 2015.

What is more,  a Europe based company has ordered from Dalian two module carriers of 21,000dwt each. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 1H 2015 and 2H2015 respectively. The buyer also has options for two more module carriers.

Moreover, COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co. Ltd has been hired by a Europe based company for four dry bulk carriers of 64,000dwt each. The delivery of the said vessels is envisaged for  2H2014 and 1H2015 respectively. As stipulated by the contracts, the buyer disposes of options for construction of two additional dry bulk carriers.
