Norway: Diesel-Electric PSV Far Spica Leaves STX OSV Langsten

Platform Supply Vessel Far Spica (STX PSV08 CD) has been delivered today, Thursday 31 January, from STX OSV Langsten to Farstad Supply AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Farstad Shipping ASA.

The PSV 08 CD i is a newly developed, medium sized, diesel electric PSV with deck area approx. 800 sq. m. The overall length of each vessel is 81.7 meters with a beam of 18.0 meters.

The vessel will commence a term charter contract with Statoil to support their drilling campaign on the coast of East Africa. Reference is made to the press release of 11 January 2013.

A long-term facility has been drawn with Danish Ship Finance AS to finance the vessel.
