UK: 19m ASD Tug TSM ALBATRE Starts Trials

The 19m ASD tug – “TSM ALBATRE” commenced trials from the Padmos Shipyard, the Netherlands. The vessel is equipped for towing from both the bow and stern in addition to plough dredging, Macduff Ship Design Ltd, the designer of the vessel announced.

The French-flagged tug covers 19 meters in length with 8 meters breadth and it can develop a maximum speed of 11.6 knots, its average speed being 9.8 knots.

What is more, the two 16m tugs ordered by Boustead, Langkawi Shipyard, for which Macduff provided the complete design package and cutting information are being built simultaneously inside a modern fabrication shop.
