OOCL Introduces New Intra-Europe Service

OOCL has announced the introduction of a new service to the Intra-Europe network, the Scan Baltic Express 3 (SBX3), as part of the company’s existing SBX suite.

The new service is operated by OOCL with two 1,000 TEU (twenty foot equivalent unit) containerships serving Hamburg and St. Petersburg. The SBX3 commences on September 21 with the inaugural sailing from Hamburg.

The SBX3 is an additional service for the Baltic network which complements OOCL’s existing service offering a comprehensive coverage between Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden. The commencement of the SBX3 will also provide greater shipping flexibility for customers during the winter with an overall service quality improvement across all SBX products.
