HTS Holds Steel Cutting Ceremony for 64.000 DWT Bulk Carrier

On May 3rd 2012 Hantong Shipyard, at its Hull workshop, successfully carried out the steel cutting ceremony for 64.000 DWT Bulk carrier (Hull No:HT64-115),which is built for Load Line.

This vessel comes as a new type of bulk carrier which is optimised to burn less fuel oil.

The vessel is classified by NK. The keel-laying and the launching of the vessel is scheduled later this year with the delivery planned for 2013.

Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co (HTS) is a newly-built large and medium-sized enterprise. The shipyard gained the accreditation of ISO9001:2002 and OSAH14000/GB25008 the quality management system and is engaged in the construction of large vessels and ocean engineering units approved by Class like ABS、DNV、BV、LR、CCS. The enterprise covers up 1,600,000 square meters and owns 2600 meters natural of Yangtse River deepwater & coastline.
