French container shipping and logistics major CMA CGM has named its latest 7,300 TEU boxship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The Post-Panamax newbuild CMA CGM Adventure is the ninth unit in a series of ten vessels ordered by the shipping company. It was built at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in Geoje, South Korea.

Featuring a length of 268 meters and a beam of 43 meters, the 85,500 dwt ship flies the flag of Malta, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

The eco-friendly containership will be part of the Chesapeake Bay Express (CBX) service, connecting Asia and North America, CMA CGM—the world’s third-largest container shipping company according to Alphaliner’s Top 100 list—said on social media.
