Independent engineering company 4Subsea has received a contract extension of a framework agreement with Statoil covering 10 installations on the NCS.

The contract started in 2012 and it has now been extended from June 2016 until June 2018.

4Subsea noted that its scope of work has increased with one additional installation and will be covering the following Statoil installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf: Statfjord C, Snorre A, Snorre B, Gullfaks A, Veslefrikk, Volve, Visund, Oseberg A, Troll B, Troll C and Norne.

The contract also includes support to develop inspection and maintenance programs, failure investigations, systems for annulus vent gas monitoring AMOSTM, and repair solutions.

“We are pleased that Statoil continuously trusts us to play an important role in maintaining production through the integrity management work we perform on flexible risers and flowlines,” says Torbjørn Amundsen, Senior VP Products and Business Development.

“In addition to the annulus testing and follow-up of approximately 150 risers each year, 4Subsea also performs failure investigations as required, delivers annulus vent gas monitoring systems and ROV installable outer sheath repair solutions.”
