C-Job Naval Architects and vessel operator Glomar Offshore have revealed the design of an offshore support vessel (OSV) described as a “Swiss Army knife for offshore work” due to its versatility.
The OSV, said to be purpose-built as Glomar’s first vessel of its kind, has been designed for diverse offshore tasks, eliminating the need for multiple, separate specialized ships for subsea inspection, cable trenching and ROV operations.

The 80-meter-long vessel will have dual-fuel engines, for methanol and MGO, integrated methanol tanks and battery power systems, DP2 positioning and Ice Class, an ROV hangar, moon pool and dedicated trencher deck space for subsea operations. It will offer accommodation for 60 personnel.
