The Who Dat East oil and gas production will be co-mingled, transported, and processed through the existing Who Dat infrastructure and will follow the same routes to market. The initial development is expected to generate an IRR in excess of 20%.

Located in a water depth of 800 meters offshore Louisiana within federal waters of the U.S. Gulf, the Who Dat conventional deepwater oil and gas development came on stream in 2011, transporting oil and gas to markets via common carrier pipelines.

Carri Lockhart , Karoon’s CEO and MD, commented: “We are delighted to reach FID on Who Dat East. The developmentis economically attractive and will deliver material low cost, high margin production to Karoon when it comes online in the second half of 2028.

“We would like to thank the Who Dat operator, LLOG, and our JV partner Westlawn Americas Offshore, for the strong collaboration on this development and look forward to commencing the construction phase of the project.”
