Finnish technology group Wärtsilä has secured a long-term deal with Ireland-based Pardus Energy to strengthen operational reliability and maintenance predictability for a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), working at a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Aliaga, Türkiye.
Wärtsilä has signed a five-year lifecycle agreement with Pardus Energy to support the reliable and predictable operation of the company’s FSRU Turquoise P , enabling the Finnish player to provide dedicated contract management, maintenance planning, and spare parts to help the Irish firm improve maintenance readiness, strengthen cost predictability, and prepare for major planned overhaul events during the contract period.
The FSRU was commissioned in 2019 and is fitted with Wärtsilä equipment. This agreement is said to support more sustainable and efficient lifecycle management by helping ensure the vessel’s equipment is maintained in optimal operating condition. The agreement with Pardus Energy took effect from April 2026, but the order was booked by the Finnish company in Q2 2026.

The FSRU Turquoise P, operating as a stationary FSRU at the Etki LNG terminal in Aliaga, is perceived to play a critical role in supporting gas supply continuity. As a result, Wärtsilä points out that unplanned downtime can have significant operational and commercial consequences.
By moving to a structured long-term service model, the Finnish player claims that Pardus Energy will secure timely access to Wärtsilä OEM spare parts, increase availability, and reduce uncertainty around major planned overhaul events.

“This agreement gives us a clear long-term framework for managing key maintenance activities, securing OEM spare parts and preparing for the planned 36K and 48K overhauls with greater confidence.”
This comes months after Wärtsilä secured a deal to supply its cargo handling and fuel gas supply systems for two LNG bunkering vessels under construction in China and won a long-term lifecycle agreement for 12 LNG carriers (LNGC) with MOL Global Ship Management
