Norwegian supply vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured contracts for its platform supply vessels in Norway.
Solstad said on Monday it has been awarded a medium-term contract with Wintershall Dea to support the Deepsea Aberdeen rig drilling operations in Norway .
The contract was awarded to the large PSV Normand Serenade. The award is a call-off from the existing frame agreement.
The beginning of the contract will take place during the first quarter of 2021 for a duration of two wells firm plus five well options.
Wintershall Dea Norge will use the Deepsea Aberdeen rig on exploration wells at Dvalin North and Bergknapp fields as well as development wells at Vega field on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The rig’s contract consists of four firm and three optional wells with an expected firm duration of approximately 300 days. It is anticipated to begin in February/March 2021.
Furthermore, as part of the frame agreement between Aker BP and Solstad, Aker BP has secured the PSV Normand Arctic for three months plus three months option.
The contract for this vessel is scheduled to start in February 2021.
The Normand Arctic has also been fixed by an undisclosed charterer for one well, securing work for the vessel until the beginning of the Aker BP contract.
