REN-operated Sines LNG import terminal in Portugal is scheduled to receive a Nigerian liquefied natural cargo next week.

Shipping data by the Port of Sines shows that the LNG Akwa Ibom tanker capable of transporting up to 141,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel is scheduled to dock at the facility on June 17.

The vessel departed from the Nigeria LNG facility on Bonny Island and is currently sailing in the Central Atlantic, off Sierra Leone.

Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
