Crane services supply Alatas has been awarded a five-year contract to support crane operations for Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) and Shell UK.

Alatas said that the company would supply offshore crane maintenance, engineering, and spare parts support to Shell’s UK entity and NAM, Dutch E&P company jointly owned by Shell and ExxonMobil.

Under the contract, Alatas will work on Shell UK and NAM’s offshore platforms in the Southern North Sea.

The contract covers 43 cranes across 32 platforms and will be supported by Alatas Operations & Engineering and Workshop Facilities in Aberdeen and Bradford.

Richard De’Ath , UK managing director, said: “Alatas are pleased that our support over the past three years has now been cemented with a formal contractual agreement.

“This allows Alatas and Shell teams to further integrate and align ensuring long term safety, reliability while delivering our services efficiently in the two sectors.”
