Chinese privately-owned gas distributor ENN has ordered an LNG bunkering vessel at the compatriot shipbuilder Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC).

The vessel will have the capacity to load 8,500 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas and will be bunkering various vessels as well as provide pre-cooling and gas testing services.

The vessel to be delivered in 2020 will operate from ENN’s newly-opened Zhoushan LNG terminal in Zhejiang province.

The facility has a 3 mtpa handling capacity with ENN already working towards expanding the capacity to 5 mtpa adding that the capacity could be expanded to 10 mtpa in the future.
