Seabed Geosolutions, a joint venture between Fugro and CGG, has received a contract award for an ocean bottom seismic project in the Middle East.
Fugro said last Friday that Seabed Geosolutions would acquire high-quality 3D seismic data, which has a contract value of around $25 million.
The company added that the contract was scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The previous two contracts awarded to Seabed Geosolutions were two ocean bottom node (OBN) seismic acquisition contracts which covered the Greater Angostura field in shallow waters offshore Trinidad for BHP and a 4D OBN project for Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company.
