Engie Axima is planning to enter new markets, including offshore wind, as part of its acquisition of German-based Noske Kaeser, the company said.

Although the aim of the acquisition is to accelerate the development of its Marine and Oil & Gas department, and strengthen its position in HVAC, refrigeration and firefighting, Engie Axima sees it as an opportunity to expand its activities across other markets, including offshore wind.

“NOSKE KAESER’s acquisition allows ENGIE Axima to consolidate its position on the Cruise & Ferries, Oil & Gas and Navy markets. Thanks to this acquisition, we will also be able to enter new markets such as the offshore wind energy and spread our world coverage in installations as well as in services with two strong bases in France and in Germany,” Philippe Le Berre , Managing Director of the Marine and Oil & Gas Department of Engie Axima, said.

Noske Kaeser’s headquarters in Hamburg and its subsidiaries in Australia, India, Malaysia and Turkey joined Engie Axima, becoming its wholly owned subsidiary.

The acquisition was formalized on 27 November when the German Competition Authority issued its approval.
