South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal in the United Kingdom is scheduled to receive a cargo from Qatar at the end of the week.

One of the largest LNG carriers in the world, Nakilat’s 266,000-cbm Shagra, is scheduled to dock at the terminal’s jetty on July 29, the port authority’s data reveals.

The vessel passed through the Suez Canal and is currently sailing in the Mediterranean Sea, off Algeria.

Data from the National Grid shows that gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid on Monday, July 24, was around 21 mcm/day.

The South Hook terminal located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total.

The terminal can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
