Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO), an offshore support vessel provider, has mobilized the Voyager Explorer vessel for a 5-7 month project in Indonesia.
The company said it would provide seismic source services to an oil major in the region.
The vessel has been reflagged to Indonesian flag and chartered to Miclyn’s long-time client SeaBird Exploration, which will be executing the seismic services.
Adam Clayton , head of the business unit, said: “After a period of inactivity in the seismic sector, it’s great to see our seismic source vessel back in operation.
“It’s great to be working with our long-term partners SeaBird Exploration in delivering seismic source services from this vessel once again.”
Clayton added that the vessel went through significant upgrades for future work.
Voyager Explorer is a 2D/3D seismic source vessel built in 2005. The vessel has a length of 67.8 meters, a beam of 16 meters and it can accommodate 47 people onboard.
According to AIS data, the vessel is currently heading from Singapore to Ambon, Indonesia.
