MT Tidal has announced its former CEO and co-founder Paul Morris passed away on December 2, 2015.

MT Tidal, a joint venture created by Tocardo and Mosscliff Environmental, stated their former CEO has lost the fight against cancer.

The news follows Morris’ stepping down as MT Tidal’s CEO in October this year due to the worsening health conditions.

“We are all completely devastated to lose not only a colleague but a friend. His energy and enthusiasm for the marine energy sector was without limits and we know his presence will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his family at this hard time,” MT Tidal said in a statement.

David Wylie, founder and CEO of Mosscliff Environmental, is serving as MT Tidal’s interim CEO, until the new CEO is appointed.

The UK-based tidal venture is mainly focused on the UK, Irish and French markets.
