QED Naval, the developer behind Subhub tidal foundations platform, has moved their head office to satisfy the company’s growing requirements.

The company stated their new location on Castle Street, Edinburgh, provides improved access for their customers and clients.

The new accommodation comprises a dedicated server room that allows QED Naval to make best use of high performance computing capabilities, and to boost the performance large fluid loading and mechanical models.

As announced earlier, the company started Subhub testing with the launching of the operational model at Forth Estuary Engineering’s dock in Leith, UK.

Subhub tidal foundations platform is designed to commission, test, transport, install, and secure a mini array of wave and tidal turbines to the seabed.

QED Naval is an Edinburgh-based naval architecture consultancy that is focused on the development of the marine renewable energy industry and the vessel requirements for deployment of offshore wind, wave and tidal devices.
