Yemen LNG, the operator of the country’s only liquefaction plant, said that the facility is fully operational.
“ Yemen LNG confirms that it is fully operational in Sana’a and Balhaf with plant operations, including LNG exports, continuing as normal, ” the company said in a statement on Friday without providing any additional information.
However, when contacted by LNG World News asking whether this statement has to do anything with a planned maintenance shutdown, the company said that “this was a response to some incorrect local media reports that Yemen LNG’s operations had stopped .”
“ Our planned maintenance shutdown was successfully completed in the first half of September ,” Yemen LNG said in an e-mail response.
The Yemen LNG project, which consists of two liquefaction trains with a total capacity of 6.7 Mtpa, has three long-term contracts to supply LNG to GDF Suez, Kogas and Total Gas & Power.
