Stork Technical Services (“Stork”), a global provider of knowledge based asset integrity services for the oil & gas, power & chemical utility sectors and Oryx Energy Products & Services LLC (“Oryx”), a service provider for the oil & gas, petrochemical and utility sectors based in Qatar, are establishing a new joint venture, “Stork Oryx Turbo Machinery Services LLC” to serve the Middle East North Africa market (MENA).

Together they will offer their combined technical services capabilities in Qatar, the wider markets of the GCC, Iraq and North Africa. Fast, effective response and short lead times will enable customers to maximise their productivity and keep downtime of their installations to an absolute minimum.

Strong regional solutions

Stork Oryx Turbo Machinery Services will provide a strong regional solution for customers’ needs relating to process plant and turbo machinery. It will be based on the Oryx Engineering Solutions Centre in Ras Laffan Industrial City (Qatar) providing state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, maintenance, upgrade, testing and field service facilities for a wide range of equipment to customers in Qatar and the rest of the MENA region. This service extends to supplying turbo machinery components, such as blades, vanes and gears. This is delivered with the highest levels of productivity, fastest response times, and with maximum attention to the HSE and quality standards.

“Stork and Oryx have established this joint venture, to provide customers with access to excellent facilities and resources in the region (Ras Laffan, Qatar), and the latest technology backed-up by highly qualified and experienced personnel from Europe to execute major contracts” , said Richard Janmaat, VP Turbo Machinery of Stork. “Stork has extensive experience in the overhaul, upgrade and repair of rotating equipment and fully understands the complexity and challenge of these projects. This joint venture with Oryx enables us to further strengthen our footprint in the MENA region.”
