ABB AB has appointed Vos Prodect Innovations as preferred supplier for engineering, testing and supply of cable hang-off systems for the RWE’s 48- turbine Nordsee Ost (NSO) offshore wind farm in the German North Sea region.

Vos Prodect cable hang-off systems will be used to provide flexibility in cable laying and securing operations with the independently operated temporary and permanent hang-off sections.

Vos Prodect will design and supply 104 cable hang-off systems for the infield cables of NSO, connecting the turbines to the substation.

NSO project is the third offshore wind farm hang-off supply contract secured in 2013.

“This is a strategically important contract for us to be the nominated supplier of individual cable manufacturers, with respect to reliable and independent engineering services and we are pleased to be chosen by ABB AB for this project”, said the company in a press release.
