Yemen LNG confirmed that two attacks took place on Sunday targeting the 38-inch gas pipeline that links the Marib Block 18 gas field production to the Balhaf LNG facilities located on the Gulf of Aden.

The two attacks occurred at 1:50 pm and 2:10 pm on Sunday, about 55km and 88km, respectively, north of Balhaf.

There were no Yemen LNG casualties and the attackers were successfully repelled by the Yemen military forces at both locations, Yemen LNG said in a statement.

The pipeline remains in operation and LNG production continues uninterrupted.

Emergency procedures have been activated to monitor and control the situation and security along the pipeline has been reinforced with additional Yemeni Government forces, Yemen LNG added.
