The company has expanded and diversified greatly to include business sectors that span across Oil & Gas, Chemicals, General Cargo, Dry Bulk and Ship Management. Presently, Bahri owns and operates a fleet of 44 vessels with addition 10 new building vessels to join the fleet during 2013-2014 while enforcing stringent safety regulations and quality standards.

In November 2012, Bahri signed a historical agreement to merge the fleet and operations of Saudi Aramco shipping arm Vela International Marine Limited with Bahri, making Bahri the exclusive provider of VLCC crude oil shipping services for crude oil sold by Saudi Aramco on a delivered basis.

Bahri presently holds 7th position globally in terms of VLCC fleet and post-merger with VELA, it will advance to 3rd position. The company’s global standing in chemical fleet is 3.
