Jaheziya Inks MOU with NMCI Ireland to Develop and Deliver Maritime Training

Jaheziya, a Tawazun subsidiary which provides technical, vocational and professional training for intra-agency, interagency and multi-agency operations in the fields of safety, security and disaster management – has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI) for cooperation in maritime related training and education programs.

The MOU provides for joint training programs in the UAE and Ireland, mainly to help build capabilities in the maritime and non – military emergency and disaster management.

Jaheziya’s Acting General Manager Khaleefa Al Hemairi said the MOU with NMCI was poised to add to the company’s efficiency and capabilities in delivering best in class training services.

“We are very glad to have a partner in NMCI – a world leader in the field of maritime training and we are looking forward to benefiting from their extensive experience and customized training programs. Synergizing our strengths and efforts will enhance Jaheziya’s capabilities to deliver world class safety, security and disaster management training services in the UAE and beyond.”

Conor Mowlds Head of NMCI Services, said: “This MOU is hugely important to us, it lays the foundations for a strong and sustainable partnership between Tawazun and the NMCI. It will enable us to work closely together, developing maritime related training and education programs for UAE citizens both here and in Ireland. Our goal is to support our partner as it invests in the development of the UAE’s maritime professionals of tomorrow.”
