PM Says Finland Looking to Import Qatari LNG

Prime Minister of Finland, Jyrki Katainen, said that the country is looking to import liquefied natural gas from Qatar. Prime Minister of Finland, Jyrki Katainen, said that the country is looking to import liquefied natural gas from Qatar.

Katainen paid a visit to Doha to discuss the issue with Qatari government officials.

According to the Gulf Times, Finnish Gasum intends to build an LNG terminal that will serve as a distribution hub to other European countries.

Katainen was accompanied by a delegation comprising of 63 Finnish companies which are looking for investment opportunities in Qatar.
