Leading shipping and Logistics Company GAC has won the ‘Shipping Agent of the Year – General Cargo’ title in this year’s E-Service Excellence Awards.
The Awards, now in their fifth year, are presented by Dubai Trade, the region’s number one global trade facilitator.
The presentation ceremony was held at The Baniyas Ballroom in the Grand Hyatt Dubai under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Attendees included His Excellency Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World.
GAC’s Award was received by GAC Dubai Managing Director Stuart Bowie , who said, “ Though GAC is no stranger to awards, it is particularly gratifying to receive this recognition of e-services and e-solutions we offer our customers. This Award is a great motivation to continue to strive for growth and excellence in this field.”
The E-Service Excellence Awards began in 2008, initially offering one award for e-service, and developed over the years. This year’s ceremony highlighted e-service adoption growth in the Dubai Trade Portal and awarded companies in nine categories, including importers, exporters, shipping agents – general cargo / containerized cargo, and freight forwarders.
