LNG player Woodside of Australia has submitted a bid to buy a stake in Leviathan gas project, offshore Israel.

“With regard to the various reports published today in the Israeli media concerning the bid for the Leviathan strategic partner, the gas subsidiaries together with its partners in the Leviathan project announced that as part of the strategic process, a proposal was received by Woodside Petroleum Ltd,” Delek of Israel said in a statement.

“It should be noted that this offer together with the other offers received (as per the immediate report dated September 9th, 2012) are subject to, among other things, various conditions such as due diligence and additional information that may be a basis for negotiation,” the company added.
