Yemen’s Balhaf LNG terminal, situated on the Gulf of Aden, has resumed its operations after it had been sabotaged in September, Reuters reports.

According to shipping data, the K. Mugungwha, Korean LNG tanker, arrived at the terminal yesterday, and a French tanker, Provalys set sail from the LNG terrminal on Monday.

Yemen LNG terminal has been frequently sabotaged, and the last attack happened on September 25.

Yemen LNG project was launched in August 2005, (budgeted around US$ 4.5 billion), and as the country’s largest-ever industrial investment was an important milestone for Yemen.

The proven gas reserves are sufficient to produce and export 6.7 million metric tonnes of LNG per annum (mmtpa) for at least the next 20 years to its customers.
