Blue Offshore has been awarded a lease agreement for a subsea cable installation system by Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke GmbH (NSW).
The system includes the uniquely adaptable modular turntable system, loading arm assembly, tensioners, trackways and associated equipment, to assist with the installation of submarine transmission cables. The order value has not been disclosed, with mobilization beginning in 2012.

The offered solution supports perfectly NSW’s market position as a high quality, high performance turnkey contractor for submarine power cable projects ”, states Thorsten Schwarz , Managing Director at NSW.
Blue Offshore director Evert-Jan van Wijk concludes: “ This agreement is a milestone in Blue Offshore’s short history and we would like to thank NSW for their confidence and trust in our solution. We are looking forward to a long cooperation with NSW in the coming decade of international challenging renewable cable installation projects ”.
