Clipper 05-06: Durban wins Race 9 into Port Antonio

Durban won Race 9 on Saturday evening into Port Antonio, becoming the first boat in the fleet to win three races in the 05-06 Race and consolidating their position at the top of the leaderboard. Durban won Race 9 on Saturday evening into Port Antonio, becoming the first boat in the fleet to win three races in the 05-06 Race and consolidating their position at the top of the leaderboard. Liverpool 08 and westernaustralia.com have both won two races each.

Durban finished just one mile ahead of westernaustralia.com, and New York were close behind in third place. In a closely fought three-day race the boats shifted positions from hour to hour with this final day culminating in a dramatic tacking match up the Jamaican coastline.
