Murphy oil to sell 2 blocks of gas offshore Malaysia

Murphy Oil Corp. (MUR) signed an agreement with Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. for the sale of two blocks of gas offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, at an initial rate of 250 million to 300 million cubic feet a day for up to 15 years. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. El Dorado, Ark.-based Murphy Oil has an 85% working interest in Sarawak Blocks SK 309 and SK 311, and Petronas holds the remaining stake.
