SembCorp Marine buys S$120.3m stake in Cosco Corp

SINGAPORE : SembCorp Marine Ltd said on Monday it has bought 110.4 million shares in Cosco Corp at S$1.09 per share. It is buying Temasek Holdings’ entire equity in Cosco Corp for S$120.3 million. SembCorp Marine, the world’s number-two oil rig builder, will raise its stake in Cosco to 8.17 percent

SINGAPORE : SembCorp Marine Ltd said on Monday it has bought 110.4 million shares in Cosco Corp at S$1.09 per share. It is buying Temasek Holdings’ entire equity in Cosco Corp for S$120.3 million. SembCorp Marine, the world’s number-two oil rig builder, will raise its stake in Cosco to 8.17 percent with the purchase, from its current 3.17 percent. The company said is in line with its strategy to expand its marine and offshore business in Singapore and China.
