There has been a sharp increase in the number of cruise passengers visiting Malta in the first three months of this year, the National Statistics Office said. The number of cruise passengers went up by 12,922 over the same period last year and amounted to 15,675. In the period under review, the highest number of cruise passengers were those coming from the German market (7,829) followed by the Spanish (2,565) and the Italian (1,859) markets.
