THE Federal Government took a major step in its quest to achieve over 70 per cent of Nigerian content in the oil industry last week as it inaugurated five major sub-committee to oversee the success of the programme. The committees are petroleum, banking and insurance finance, fabrication, engineering and manufacturing. Their reports, according to its group chairman the Group General Manager, Nigerian content in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mr Joseph Akande are to be submitted to President Olusegun Obasanjo quarterly.
